Peter R Auster DMD

Dr. Peter Auster was recently named President of the

Dr. Peter Auster has been treating patients in our office since 1984. A 1980 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, he completed a residency at Westchester Medical Center in 1980. He has since taken at least 40 hours of continuing dental education courses per year and has intensive training in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, pediatric dentistry, and advanced halitosis care. Dr. Auster is a member of the American Dental Association, New York Dental Association, and the Ninth District Dental Society. He is a member of the Rockland-Westchester Dental Study Group and is a winner of the Quintessence Publishing Award for Dental Studies. Dr. Auster is married and has 2 children.

Joel Hirschberg DDS

Dr. Joel Hirschberg graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1966. After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he started practicing dentistry in Rockland County, NY, in 1969. He has been a member of the state and local dental societies since the founding of this office in 1969. Dr. Hirschberg is a firm believer in continuing education and incorporates this into the practice. He also believes that patients should understand all possible types of treatment before the treatment is begun. The relationship between doctor and patient is very important to him and to the office. Dr. Hirschberg is the father of three children.

Frances Tang DDS

Dr. Frances Tang began her work in our office in 1999. She is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. She later completed a general practice residency at New York Hospital of Queens, NY. Dr. Tang also takes many continuing education courses and is a candidate for a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry with Advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Dr. Tang is married and has two children.

Dr. Lawrence Tesser

Dr. Lawrence Tesser, D.D.S., earned his B.A. at Brandeis University in 1975. He received his D.D.S. from Georgetown University in 1979.  Dr. Tesser gained his certificate of Training in Periodontics at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1979.  

Dr. Tesser has been a guest lecturer at the New York County Dental Society, and the Greater New York Dental meeting. For over ten years, Dr. Tesser was am assistant attending dentist and Assistant Course Coordinator for the Department of Periodontics at the Beth Israel Hospital in New York City.  

Dr. Tesser is a member of many professional societies, including the New York County Dental Society, New York State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, New York Metropolitan Dental Study Club, Alpha Omega Fraternity, D.S.S.N.Y. on Insurance, New York County Insurance Committee (Member), New York County Public Relations Committee (Member), and the New York County District Claims Committee (Member).
